15, 2018) Chickamauga, Georgia star Dale McDowell and the
SMR team celebrated in victory lane for the third time during their
2018 campaign on Saturday night, April 14 at the ultra-fast Volunteer
Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee! Dale posted the fifth quickest
time in Group B during the qualifying session and later grabbed
the third transfer spot through his loaded heat race. The popular
driver known as "MacDaddy" then started the 52-lap 'Scott
Sexton Memorial' from the outside of the fifth row and immediately
pointed his #17m Sweet-Bloomquist racecar to the front of the stellar
field. Dale then grabbed the point on the 46th circuit and led the
remainder of the feature distance to pocket the healthy $10,052
winner's check for his eighth career Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals
Series triumph over Donald McIntosh, Jimmy Owens, Casey Roberts,

1, 2018) Dale McDowell and the Shane McDowell Racing (SMR)
team reached victory lane for the second time in 2018 on Saturday
evening, March 31 at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia! Dale knocked
down the fastest lap in Group B during Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals
Series qualifying before scoring the victory in heat race action.
After starting the 60-lap headliner from the outside of the front
row, Dale dominated the entire contest to lead flag-to-flag to claim
the $10,000 winner's check. The Chickamauga, Georgia star beat Scott
Bloomquist, Aaron Ridley, Clint Smith, and Zach Leonhardi to the
checkered flag to record his seventh career Spring Nationals triumph!

Twenty Feature Cars in LOLMDS Doubleheader!!
25, 2018) The #17m SMR team returned to dirt-slinging action
with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on March 23-24 in a pair
of $12,000 to win specials at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia
and East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama. On Friday
night in the annual 'Shamrock' at Boyd's, Dale McDowell ran third
in his heat race prior to blasting past six competitors en route
to a sixth place showing in the 50-lap feature event, which ran
caution-free. On Saturday evening in the 'Bama Bash' at EAMS, Dale
finished sixth in his heat race and won his B-Main before passing
fourteen racecars during the 50-lapper on his way to an impressive
fourth place performance behind only victor Brandon Sheppard, Scott

17, 2018) The 47th Annual 'DIRTcar Nationals' officially
wrapped up tonight at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida
and the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series tour presided
over another $10,000 to win program for the ground-pounding Super
Late Models. Dale McDowell timed in eleventh fastest in Group B
during qualifying prior to finishing third in his stacked heat race.
The Chickamauga, Georgia star then drove past a trio of competitors
during the 50-lap grand finale to place eighth in the final rundown.
(February 16, 2018) The penultimate
event of the 'DIRTcar Nationals' was held earlier tonight at Volusia
Speedway Park and yet another $10,000 paycheck awaited the winner
of the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series spectacular
at the Barberville, Florida speedplant. Dale McDowell qualified
thirteenth fastest in Group A during the time trial session before
bagging the fourth transfer spot through his loaded heat race. In
the 50-lap main event, Dale blasted past ten competitors to claim
an impressive third place podium performance behind only victor
Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Chris Madden!
15, 2018) Round four of the 47th Annual 'DIRTcar Nationals'
took place earlier this evening at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville,
Florida and a $10,000 windfall was up for grabs for the cars and
stars racing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series.
Dale McDowell started his night by posting the ninth fastest time
in Group B during qualifying before grabbing the fourth and final
transfer position through his stacked heat race. After rolling off
from the inside of the eighth row in the 50-lap contest, Dale stormed
to the front of the stellar field and eventually nabbed the top
spot from Brandon Sheppard on the 43rd circuit. "MacDaddy"
then beat Sheppard, Jonathan Davenport, Shane Clanton, and Scott
Bloomquist to the checkered flag to record the five-figure payday!!!
(February 14, 2018) Valentine's Day
found the #17m team in the Volusia Speedway Park pit area, as the
World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series held their 2018 season
opening event at the Daytona Beach-area speedplant. There were 51
competitors on hand in Barberville, Florida to vie for the $10,000
top prize. Dale McDowell unfortunately jumped the cushion during
his qualifying laps before running seventh in both his heat race
and his B-Main. The Chickamauga, Georgia standout was not able to
transfer into the main event that was eventually won by Tim McCreadie.
(February 13, 2018) Tonight's $7,000
to win UMP Super Late Model event at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville,
Florida was washed out by an afternoon rain shower. Action will
continue during the 'DIRTcar Nationals' at VSP tomorrow, as the
World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series season finally gets
underway with a $10,000 to win shootout!
(February 12, 2018) After Ocala,
the Shane McDowell Racing (SMR) team made the short trek east to
Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida for the first round
of the 47th Annual 'DIRTcar Nationals.' Dale McDowell was one of
the 40 UMP Super Late Model competitors that signed into the pit
area at the Daytona Beach-area speedplant to do battle for the $7,000
payday. Dale knocked down the third fastest circuit in his group
during qualifying before finishing third in his heat race. On a
track where passing was at a premium during the 30-lap contest,
Dale was able to move up four positions on his way to a solid sixth
place showing behind only victor Jonathan Davenport, Chris Madden,
Shane Clanton, Scott Bloomquist, and Mike Marlar.

11, 2018) Following a complete washout of the 'Winter Freeze'
weekend at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia, Dale McDowell
and the SMR team opted to start their 2018 season tonight at Bubba
Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
presided over a $10,000 to win shootout during the annual 'Bubba
Army Winternationals' at the odd egg-shaped racetrack. Dale timed
in sixteenth fastest in Group B during the qualifying session and
later placed eighth in his heat race and ninth in his B-Main. Unfortunately,
Dale was unable to transfer into the 50-lap main event, which was
ultimately won by Jonathan Davenport.
