visit to Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia earlier tonight for a $4,053
to win Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series showdown. Dale
McDowell earned Fast Time honors overall during the qualifying session
and later started the 40-lap main event from the outside of the
front row. Dale ran towards the front early in the contest before
slipping back to fourth at the checkers to trail only victor Randy
Weaver, Donald McIntosh, and Austin Horton.

was up for grabs earlier this evening in the annual running of the
'Rebel Yell' at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia. Dale
McDowell posted the fifth quickest lap in Group B during Schaeffer's
Oil Southern Nationals Series qualifying before grabbing the third
transfer spot through his stacked heat race. The Chickamauga, Georgia
star then rallied past four competitors during the 53-lap headliner
to land a solid sixth place performance.

Georgia facility. Dale McDowell timed in seventh fastest in Group
B during qualifying and later placed second in his B-Main. After
rolling off from the outside of the seventh row in the $4,053 to
win main event and drawing a lap 8 caution flag with a flat tire,
Dale wound up retiring early in the 40-lapper in the eighteenth

(July 18, 2021) A last minute decision
took Shane McDowell Racing (SMR) to the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte
in Concord, North Carolina today for the running of the 'Carolina
Sizzler.' The unsanctioned Super Late Model special at the 4/10-mile
facility boasted a hefty $20,000 top prize. Dale laid down the fifteenth
fastest lap overall during qualifying, which locked him into the
inside of the eighth row for the start of the 60-lap finale. "MacDaddy"
then blasted past eleven competitors during the contest to leave
the greater Charlotte area with a strong fourth place performance
behind only victor Brandon Overton, Tim McCreadie, and Michael Chilton!

for the picturesque Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia was
unfortunately canceled due to the threat of rain and will not be

to Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Monday night, July
(July 16, 2021) Dale McDowell and
the #17m team invaded Beckley Motorsports Park near Beckley, West
Virginia tonight for the 17th Annual Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals
Series lid lifter. Dale stopped the clock second fastest in Group
B during the qualifying session before securing a victory in his
heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the second row
in the $10,053 to win main event, Dale unfortunately broke an axle
on the second circuit of the 53-lapper and was forced to retire
in the twenty-second finishing position.
McDowell Enters Annual
Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway
27, 2021) Shane McDowell Racing (SMR) made the trek to
Lernerville Speedway from June 24-26 to compete in the 15th Annual
'Firecracker 100.' The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model
Series once again presided over the three-day shootout, which drew
more than 50 competitors to the Sarver, Pennsylvania facility. In
the first of two $6,000 to win preliminary programs on Thursday
night, Dale McDowell ran third in his heat race before finishing
sixteenth in the 30-lap sprint. On Friday evening in a similar $6,000
to win show, Dale placed fourth in his heat race and won his B-Main
prior to recording a twentieth place effort in the 30-lapper.
When Saturday rolled around at Lernerville Speedway,
a huge crowd assembled to see who would emerge victorious in the
'Firecracker 100,' which boasted a whopping $30,000 winner's check.
Unfortunately, Dale was unable to transfer into the 100-lap headliner
after finishing fifth in his stacked heat race and fourth in his

Five in 27th Annual Dirt Late Model Dream!
13, 2021) A very lucrative week at Eldora Speedway took
place from June 9-12, as a pair of 'Dirt Late Model Dreams' were
held at the storied Rossburg, Ohio oval. On Wednesday evening in
his Twin 25 preliminary program, Dale McDowell ran third in his
heat race prior to advancing up to seventh in his $10,000 to win
feature. At the "Big E" on Thursday, Dale ran second in
heat race action and later moved past a handful of competitors during
the 100-lap headliner to land in the fourth finishing position behind
only $127,000 victor Brandon Overton, Tim McCreadie, and Kyle Bronson!
The 26th Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream' then took
center stage at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant over the weekend.
In Friday's $10,000 to win Twin 25, Dale grabbed the fourth transfer
spot through his heat race before running thirteenth in the 25-lap
sprint. All eyes in the pit area were then focused on capturing
the $126,000 payday on Saturday evening. "MacDaddy" finished
fourth in his stacked heat race, won his B-Main, and later blitzed

1, 2021) Dale McDowell and Shane McDowell Racing (SMR)
celebrated their second Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series
Championship - worth $10,053 - on Monday, May 31 following the miniseries
finale at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee! Dale was ultra-consistent
in the nine series races, as the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer amassed
one victory to go with an astounding nine Top Five finishes. In
Monday's annual $10,052 to win 'Scott Sexton Memorial' at 411, Dale
won his heat race in preliminary action before steering his familiar
#17m machine to a strong fourth place performance in the 52-lap
headliner behind only winner Jimmy Owens, Randy Weaver, and Ashton
Earlier in the Memorial Day holiday weekend, Dale
chased $4,053 paychecks at both Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia
and Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia. On Saturday evening at Dixie,
the Chickamauga, Georgia ace timed in fourth fastest in Group B
during Spring Nationals qualifying before climbing to fourth in

in competition at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia and Smoky
Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee over the May 7-8 weekend.
On Friday night in a Southern All Stars Racing Series (SAS) event
at Boyd's, Dale McDowell won a consolation race, started eighth
on the grid in the $5,000 to win main event, and later passed six
cars during the 50-lapper to land an impressive runner-up performance
behind only victor Michael Page.
At Smoky Mountain on Saturday evening, a $10,053 top
prize was on the line in a Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series
shootout. Dale, who is the current miniseries point leader, clicked
off the fastest lap in Group B during qualifying, won his heat race,

session to lock himself into the inside of the fifth row in the

The Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series sanctioned the single-day
shootout at "The Taz" and a whopping $21,000 top prize
was up for grabs. Dale got into the wall during his qualifying effort,
but was still able to lay down the seventh quickest time in Group
